A VISION OF PURPOSE

Early on in my walk with the Lord, He gave me this vison:

I had traveled out of state to help friends prepare their home for sale, they were moving to Montana. It was early morning, I got dressed and made the bed and sat down to meditate on what I would be doing that day on their home. 

Suddenly, I was inside another person's body, I did not know whose body, but I "Knew" that I knew this person "intimately"? I say that with a question mark because how could I know a person "Intimately" and not know "who it is"?

Looking back on the event I understand that it was a supernatural experience, but at the time I was caught up in the vision I had no control over and yet was aware of the outlandish circumstances that this was "unexplainable"!

Then, the person who I was "In" (I was seeing thru their eyes), saw a person come from the left side and came to the person whose "eyes" I was seeing thru. Then I saw another person come from the right side and join the same person whose eyes I was seeing thru.

Then, the three people came "together" to turn and worship God. But as they worshiped God, I KNEW that these three could not come to know God fully, because of the person in the middle, the person whose eyes I was seeing thru!

Suddenly I was back to myself sitting in the room. I did not know how long this "event" lasted, minutes or seconds or less and I did not have a clue "What Where When and How!"

I wondered how I could "See" things, and yet not physically SEE as we see in the natural. The people I SAW in the vision, were not forms I could describe naturally, and how could I KNOW something intimately, and not KNOW?

This "vision" set me on a course to discover the answer to this mystery which lasted two years. But the answer to the vision was only beginning. Next I will talk about how I discovered the answer to this mystery.

BODY SOUL AND SPIRIT

 This is a repeat of the vision I had 2 years before followed by the breakthrough-

Suddenly, I was inside another person's body, I did not know whose, but I "Knew" that I knew this person "intimately"? I say that with a question mark because how can could I know a person "Intimately" and not know "who it is"?

Then, the person who I was "In" (I was seeing thru their eyes), I saw a person come from the left side come to the person whose "eyes" I was seeing thru. Then I saw come from the right side come and join the same person whose eyes I was seeing thru.

Then, the three people came "together" to turn and worship God. But as they worshiped God, I KNEW that these three could not come to know God fully, because of the person in the middle, the person whose eyes I was seeing thru!

My brother in the Lord walked up to me after church service and said to me "You need to get into your Prayer language". 

I opened my mouth to respond that I didn't have it and and had been struggling to get "speaking in tongues", whatever that was. Instead, I thought for a second and responded to him "Is this from the Lord?" He said "YES". I went home and that night meditated on this.

You see, the man who walked up to me I did not know very well, but from what I understood he had a prophetic anointing and was known to walk up to strangers, even me, and speak a Word from the Lord to them. Rob was his name, I did not know him well, he was a quiet person.

Anyway, that evening as I thought about what the Lord said thru Rob, I reasoned that if the Lord said that I needed to "Get into my prayer language" then I already had it. And I knew that speaking in tongues (prayer language) was a free gift, like all gifts, but more importantly I knew the Lord would not withhold from any of His their "PRAYER LANGUAGE".

Feeling stupid, I began to make myself utter sounds (I made sure no one was within earshot of me!) After a while, I settled on what may have been something, but it sounded like gibberish to me and it wasn't much. Tired, I went to bed.

Shortly after my head hit my pillow, all of a sudden I KNEW WHAT THE VISION MEANT that I had 2 years before!

                           ALL THREE PERSONS WERE ME!

The person whose eyes that I was looking thru, the person in the middle, the person who I knew intimately, but didn't know spiritually, represents MY SOUL. It can be said that we see life thru the "Windows of our soul". The person on the left represented my PHYSICAL BODY. This is who we are in the NATRUAL REALM.

The person on the right represented my SPIRIT, who we are IN THE SPIRIT.

In the natural, when we come together body soul and spirit, we cannot come to know God FULLY thru my "soulish" understanding. Thru this revelation I eventually discovered that when we are born in THIS WORLD, we are BODY SOUL and lastly, SPIRIT. But when you read the bible, it is always the opposite, SPIRIT soul and body.

When we are first born of this world, we need to address the needs of the physical body, the FLESH to survive. Our soul grows in understanding of our natural world. Eventually we begin to go beyond these basics and develop in spiritual matters. But we are still "sons of Adam", and we will spiritually reproduce the "Ways of the Natural world".

If and when we become "Born-again" the order is reversed, SPIRIT SOUL AND THEN BODY. We are spiritual babes and our soul must mature in spiritual knowledge to grow and prosper. Lastly, we wait for our NEW BODIES in heaven. 

As I mentioned, it took me 2 years and finally speaking in tongues to get revelation of the vision. But as soon as I spoke my spirit language I received revelation of the vision. I was thrilled to get the understanding of the vision, but in the course of the 2 years, I had come to understand the Gifts of the spirit and I had learned that we can only know God IN THE SPIRIT. So the revelation of the vision seemed anti-climactic, no new news to me!

But of course and as usual I was wrong. I began to see how little I understood SPIRIT SOUL AND BODY.

THE WORD OF GOD IS PROPHETIC

I learned that the Word of God is Prophetic.  I  see that when we first begin to read the bible,  it speaks to our soul about our physical or NATRUAL MAN. I was newly saved and my soul was convicted of my sin nature thru the LAW. I (my soul) came to the end of myself and the Word convicted me of my sin nature and I began to be renewed to the things of Christ.

Being Born-again, my soul became like a child spiritually. The Lord gave me a vision of this in a dream…

"I was downtown riding a bicycle going to a store. In the front was a basket and a little baby was wrapped up in it. The baby was intently looking at me and would talk to me. It would tell me things that I didn't know, and was telling me where to go. I noticed that it had diapers on, and was helpless, but really smart."

When I woke from the dream, I realized that the "baby" represented my newborn nature (spiritually) and my soul knew very little about spiritual things or "Walking in the spirit" but I was growing.

Apostle Peter said in 1 Peter 2:2

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby

I had a passion to devour the Word and gradually I was changed. I began to SEE amazing things, particularly in the Old Testament, actually prophetically SEEING things that talked about the New Testament. The writer of Hebrews talked about this in

Hebrews 5:13-14

For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. [14] But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

The same Word that once fed my natural understanding, was now feeding me as I grow spiritually. Matthew 11:5

THE BLIND RECEIVE THEIR SIGHT, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, AND THE DEAF HEAR, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Before I was saved, I was spiritually blind and deaf. But now I can see and hear God.

Thru my eyes "in the spirit", I began to notice that there are layers of revelation, multiple truths and meanings in verses. In the "Natural", the story of Adam and Eve are the first persons on the earth. But as I grow in the spirit my "spirit eyes" begin to open,  I now see new mysteries unfolding within the same  scriptures. 

Genesis 2:23-24

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. [24] Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

 And then another layer. I came to see Adam and Eve as a prophetic picture of the Body of Christ, the Jews and Gentiles in Christ as ONE FLESH. Adam represents Israel (Jews) and Eve represents the Gentiles and together we form the BODY OF CHRIST.
