TWO SIDE POSTS AND THE LINTEL

Exodus 12:22

And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

This scripture is a word picture of spirit soul and body in Exodus where Moses called for the first Passover.

 I made this drawing representing the 2 side posts and the Lintel (door header) of the entry of a house.

The first Passover is recorded by Moses in Egypt to protect Israel's firstborn from the death of the destroyer.

The blood of the Lamb sacrifice was applied to the door of the house, which is a prophetic picture of all who accept Christ. The 2 posts represent our spirit body and our physical body, the Lintel which rests upon the 2 supporting posts (physical and spirit body) the Lintel represents our SOUL.

Prophetically, the "Blood" is applied to all three, SPIRIT SOUL AND BODY.

So in Genesis 9:18, our triune nature is represented by Ham Shem and Japheth.

Ham and Shem are the 2 POSTS. Japheth represents the SOUL which is supported by the 2 posts. The blood of Jesus protects us SPIRIT SOUL AND BODY (our "House"). There is more to this, I will explain later.

The main difference between the 3 sons of Noah and our "spirit, soul and body" is that the sons of Noah were three separate individuals. But our spirit soul and body are 3 separate manifestations of 1 person.

Sidenote: When we die, you could note that our "Physical body" dies only, and in the Lintel and 2 posts represented above, that would only leave the 1 post (spirit body)

and the Lintel (soul) forming a cross. Is that coincidence?

Ephesians 4:22 NKJV

That you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,

Romans 6:6 NKJV

knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

Before I was born-again, I was of the corrupted seed of Adam. That was my "Old man" or my spirit man.

Ephesians 5:25

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Our "Body and soul" are IN ONE BODY (ONE FLESH).

Our "spirit and soul" are also a prophetic picture of "Husband and Wife" joined in ONE BODY (spirit body). The Apostle Paul gives us clues and tells us "This is a Great Mystery".

WALKING BACKWARDS

Previously:

"We are born into this "Natural World" in this order: BODY, SOUL AND THEN SPIRIT. Our first home is the Natural or physical realm. But when we become "Born-again", we are born anew as SPIRIT SOUL AND THEN BODY, contrary and BACKWARD to this natural world."

WHEN WE BECOME "BORN-AGAIN" OUR TRIUNE ORDER IS REVERSED, BACKWARDS TO THE NATURAL REALM! THE FIRST MENTION OF WALKING BACKWARDS IS IN GENESIS 9:18 

And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.

Immediately after the flood, the first story that was recorded was that Ham had defiled his father.

Genesis 9:20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

Genesis 9:23-27 NKJV

But Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned away, and they did not see their father's nakedness.

So Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done to him. Then he said: "Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servants He shall be to his brethren."

And he said: "Blessed be the LORD, The God of Shem, And may Canaan be his servant. May God enlarge Japheth, And may he dwell in the tents of Shem; And may Canaan be his servant."

We can gather that Shem and Japheth somehow knew that looking upon their fathers "Nakedness" was wrong or "evil". This is a mystery, but in the blessing and the curse that Noah spoke over his sons there are CLUES.

I "SEE" that Ham Japheth and Shem are a prophetic picture of our triune nature BODY SOUL AND SPIRIT. From these 3 all the descendants of the earth are born of, but individually they represent:

SHEM -REPRESENTS THE SPIRIT OF A PERSON

JAPHETH -REPRESENTS THE SOUL OF A PERSON

HAM/CANAAN -REPRESENTS THE PHYSICAL BODY OF A PERSON

 Note several things here. Japheth does not have have his own TENT, he may dwell in the tent of Shem (SPIRIT). Japheth may be ENLARGED. Our soul can grow in knowledge wisdom and understanding. The spirit BODY is unchanging. And also, it was Ham who sinned, but his son Canaan was cursed because it is a prophetic FUTURE WORD which applies to the "Born-again" spirit which occurred with the coming of Jesus.

As spirit filled Believers, we are cursed when we walk in the NATURAL way of this world, but we are BLESSED when we walk BACKWARDS to the way of this world, IN THE SPIRIT.

Galatians 5:16

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. [17] For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. [18] But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

After our "Born-Again" experience, we have the ability to WALK BACKWARD (In the spirit - SPIRIT SOUL AND BODY)

When I first saw this, I was amazed and wondered if there was more evidence to further establish this truth. Then I discovered that FATHER ABRAHAM who is our great father of FAITH, is the descendant of SHEM (SPIRIT) and thru Abraham came Jesus.

Prophetically "Tents" represent a movable dwelling. Our PHYSICAL BODY allows us (Our SOUL) to navigate the NATRUAL REALM, and our SPIRIT BODY allows us (Our SOUL) to navigate the SPIRIT REALM. It is with our Spirit Body that we live eternally in Heaven, or in Hell, our spirit body and soul are ETERNAL. This is God's design that we may know Him.

Romans 8:4

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

The New Testament at first seems almost completely void of Walking BACKWARD, unless you take into account that the word "REPENT" means to turn and walk "BACKWARD".

REPENT is used 64 times in the New Testament (KJV) and means the same thing, "to walk in the spirit".

To get a better picture of our two "bodies", our physical body and our spirit body and that our SOUL (personality, identity) can walk by the Flesh, or in the Spirit, lets SEE the first Passover.

SPIRT/SOUL - HUSBAND/WIFE

Romans 7:1–3

Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Before I was born again, Satan was the god of my "Old man", my old nature.

When I became "Born-again" I died to sin and was reborn to Christ. And I was taught that these scriptures dealt with marriage, divorce and adultery.

In light of my more recent revelations about spirit soul and body, these scriptures took on a more intimate revelation and understanding.

A husband/wife marriage is ALSO a picture of a person's spirit AND soul. Our spirit/soul are inseparably joined AS ONE. Before I became "Born-again", my soul (my identity, personality memories) was joined to the god of "THIS WORLD", SATAN!

When I became "Born-again", I became betrothed to my new husband, JESUS!. What a beautiful picture it is to think of our "soul" and the spirit of Jesus being joined AS ONE.

Before I was "born-again" my faith was in this "natural world" my faith was in what I could "See Touch and Feel". Now thru Christ I am alive to the spiritual realm. When I was unsaved my "old-man/spirit man" (ways of THIS WORLD) was alive to me. But now I no longer place my faith in the "old man" and he is dead to me and I have placed my faith in Jesus, he is ALIVE TO ME.

In the spirit realm, we quicken (make alive) what we BELIEVE.

When my soul (woman) heard the Gospel of Christ and I REPENTED of sin, I no longer "BELIEVE" in the ways of "THIS World". I chose and received Jesus and my SIN NATURE died.

When my "Soul" no longer BELIEVES in the god of THIS World, my Soul became a widow, and I could marry another, that is Christ Jesus. That is why we are called THE BRIDE OF CHRIST. Jesus is the spiritual head (Husband) of the Church.

What I learned from this revelation about Spirit/soul being a prophetic picture of Husband/Wife it became the key to unlock several mysteries in the bible. As I feel I need to remind readers of the importance of Speaking in Tongues, how much it is required for spiritual growth. Again, I refer you to the book of Isaiah 28:9-13

"Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the message? Those just weaned from milk? Those just drawn from the breasts?

[10] For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little." [11] For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people, [12] To whom He said, "This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest," And, "This is the refreshing"; Yet they would not hear.

[13] But the word of the LORD was to them, "Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little," That they might go and fall backward, and be broken And snared and caught.
